How we work

Every mandate begins with a senior practitioner and ends the same way.

Black Heath Advisory’s engagement model is built around a single principle: the practitioner who takes your instruction is the practitioner who delivers your outcome. There is no origination at partner and delivery at junior. We have structured the firm deliberately to make this possible.

Our engagement model

Three stages. One practitioner.

Stage 01

We review your matter at no cost.

Before any fee arrangement is in place, we assess your mandate. For tax disputes we examine the assessment, the underlying transaction, and available documentation. For financial reporting we review prior-year statements and existing accounting policies. This review is substantive, not a sales conversation.

Stage 02

Engagement letter, timeline, and fees confirmed in writing.

Every mandate commences with a structured engagement letter specifying scope, deliverables, timeline milestones, and fee basis. Clients know what they are paying for before work begins.

Stage 03

The same mind that took the instruction delivers the outcome.

The partner who signed the engagement letter prepares the objection, signs the financial statements, or leads the restructuring negotiation. If scope changes materially, a revised engagement letter is issued.

“Technical advice is only as good as the practitioner delivering it. We built the firm so that the practitioner delivering it is always the one most qualified to do so.”

Common questions

What clients ask before engaging.

The Big 4 originate at partner and deliver at junior. At Black Heath Advisory, origination and delivery are the same practitioner. For technically precise, time-sensitive mandates, this is material.
